CONFLICT OF INTEREST INFORMATION
On January 1, 2006, new conflict of interest disclosure laws took effect. The law, House Bill 914 requires local government officers including trustees and superintendents to file forms to disclose (1) certain gifts from vendors or potential vendors; or (2) certain family employment or business relationships with vendors. The law is codified as Texas Local Government Code 176. The Conflict of Interest Questionnaire may be downloaded from the Texas Ethics Commission's website at http://www.ethics.state.tx.us/forms/CIQ.pdf and requires Adobe Acrobat Reader.
